Roads around Belmont’s campus will be closed Saturday for the 16th annual St. Jude Country Music Marathon and Half Marathon.
Wedgewood, Portland, 17th and 18th avenues, Clifton Lane, 12th Avenue South and Magnolia and Belmont boulevards will shut down for the race, according to an email sent from the Office of Communications to Belmont students and faculty Friday.
Parking will be prohibited on these streets after 2 a.m. and the streets will close to through traffic at 6 a.m.
The streets will reopen on a “rolling basis” as the last runners pass each street, according to the email. The course materials will be removed from the streets between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. as the race progresses.
There will be limited public parking available on Magnolia between 18th and 21st avenues during the race, according to the email.
