Students looking to snag an afternoon snack need not race the clock over to What’s Bruin before 4 p.m. anymore.
Starting Oct. 20, What’s Bruin, located in the Beaman Student Life Center, will be open until 9 p.m. every weeknight.
According to Student Government Association President Eric S. Deems, SGA started a partnership with Sodexo last year. They put together a focus group that met several times during the year to discuss adding more dining locations, increasing the number of off-campus establishments that accept Bruin Bucks and setting better hours on campus.
“We have continued the working relationship this year between SGA and Sodexo,” Deems said. “These hour extensions are just another way of showing how continuing the conversation and consistently placing student thoughts to the decision makers will pay off.”
An additional person will be hired to accommodate the new hours.
