    Smoke and lights covered the stage as people entered the Curb Event Center for the Urban/Pop Showcase Saturday evening. R. Kelly’s “Ignition” played over the speaker system and set the mood.     Performers show ‘what make them shine’ in Christian Showcase

    Soul, rap and hip hop all found their place on stage on Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. the Curb Event Center as part of the Christian Showcase. This was the first showcase of the year. Put together by Jenny Parsons, the Christian Showcase was meant to be something that every student could attend and feel welcome as she did during her freshman year.     Christian Showcase set for Saturday

    The four acts in the Christian Showcase will open this year’s showcase series in the Curb Event Center at 7 p.m. Saturday night. As usual, the Christian Showcase will be the first concert of the annual series, and students will receive music business seminar credit for attending.
